Back to Pregnancy Week by Week Guide

If your glucose test has not been done yet, then be prepared for it this week. Another tube of blood to check for anaemia is also most likely this week.

Changes in Your Body at Week 25 Pregnancy

Once you complete the 24th week of pregnancy and move into this week, you will notice that your hair is growing long now. It also looks thicker and shinier. Enjoy this phase because most of it is likely to fall off after child birth.

At 25 weeks of pregnancy, you are showing well now. As the uterus grows, so does the abdomen and the sides. But each one carries a baby differently inside her. So don’t be worried about your exact shape.

The growing baby will not only put pressure on your bladder, but will also give you pain in your ribs. There is not much you can do about this except to rest and to lie on one side.

If you get an urine test done during this time you might notice the presence of some sugar in it even if you are not diabetic. This is because during pregnancy the kidneys expel out any excess sugar into the urine.

Your Baby’s Development at Week 25 Pregnancy

As she begins to build fat under her skin, your baby becomes more plump from now to the 26th week of pregnancy and even after that.

Its brain begin to make connections between the nerve cells and the fibre ends.

At 25 weeks of pregnancy, the wrinkly skin begins to smoothen out from here on.

If you look closely during your ultrasound scan, you will be able to make out the colour of their hair!

Week 25 Have a Laugh

A woman went to the doctor’s office. She was seen by one of the new doctors. But when she came out she was crying and screaming.

An older doctor asked her what had happened and after hearing, he asked her to sit down. He called for the younger doctor.

“What’s the matter with you? He told the young doctor sternly. “The lady here is more than sixty and has four grown up kids. How can you say that she is pregnant?”

The new doctor smiled smugly and replied, “So her hiccups did get cured after all!”
