Back to Pregnancy Week by Week Guide
Enjoy this period when your morning sickness, nausea, most of the aches and pains and lack of appetite would be subsiding. And the pains of labor in the final trimester is still a far way off.
Changes in Your Body at Week 15 Pregnancy
Not much of changes in your body now as you move towards the sixteenth week of pregnancy. Except that you would have gained a few kilos.
At 15 weeks of pregnancy, the only issue that you might have to deal with is the pain in your abdomen. The growing ligaments that support the uterus keeps growing. This causes the sharp shooting abdominal pain.
Your Baby’s Development at Week 15 Pregnancy
Fine hair called lanugo covers your baby’s skin now. This stays so till birth after which it disappears. It helps your baby to maintain a constant temperature inside your womb.
Till a few weeks back the head had been the largest part of your baby’s body. But now its arms and limbs have grown longer.
At 15 weeks of pregnancy, taste buds will begin to form.
The baby’s movements are still difficult to feel as you progress from the 14th week of pregnancy to the 15th one. But watch out for that kick. You just might be able to experience it a couple of times. Or maybe it is just the baby’s hiccups that you are feeling.
The greatest milestone at 15 weeks of pregnancy is that your baby can now hear your sounds and your heartbeats. This is because the bones in the ear are hardening.
Week 15 Pregnancy Tips and Advice
You have a few weeks before your belly really begins to bulge out. So use this time to practice how to sleep on one side and also how to walk in a way that will give your stomach the much needed support.
Hot flushes happen during pregnancy. So when you go shopping for your maternity wear, opt for cotton clothes rather than nylon and synthetic ones.
Stop wearing high heeled shoes. This can add to pain in your legs and affect the arch of your back.
Pregnancy hormones will cause your skin to darken around the lips and chin. This increases when you are out in the sun. So avoid sun as much as possible and never forget your sunscreen.

Week 15 Fun
Since your baby can hear now, why don’t you play some soft music on your headphone and put it near your belly for the little one to hear? Studies say that Mozart is the ideal option.
If you are used to being small-chested, then take this opportunity to flaunt your new assets with low cut tops.
So what music did you pay to your child? Or do you sing her songs yourself? Join our due date club here and share your thoughts with other mums-to-be.

Week 15 Have a Laugh
A man and his wife went to the doctor for the first time after knowing that the lady had conceived.
After checking, the doctor took a small stamp and stamped the wife’s stomach with indelible ink.
Curious to know what it was about, when they reached home, the husband took out his magnifying glass.
In very tiny letters, the stamp said, “When you can read this, come back and see me.”
