The festival of Karwa Chauth is incomplete without singing the songs for the occasion. There are two specific songs that women sing during Karwa Chauth.

The women observing Karwa Chauth get together and sing the following puja song after placing the ‘Baya’ in the Thali.The married women exchange the thali seven times while singing this song. For more details, you can check out the Karwa Chauth Pooja Customs and Rituals.

 

Veero Kudiye Karwada,
Sarv Suhagan Karwada,
Katti Na Ateri Naa,
Kumbh Chrakhra Feri Naa,
Gwand Pair payeen Naa,
Sui Che Dhaga Payeen Naa
Ruthda maniyen Naa,
Suthra Jagayeen Naa,
Bhain Pyari Veeran,
Chan Chade Te Pani Peena
Ve Veero Kuriye Karwara,
Ve Sarv Suhagan Karwara

The above stanza is sung six times until all the women have their own thalis after exchanging. It thus, makes six rounds or circles.

During the seventh round or circle, the following stanza is sung –

Aye Katti Naya Teri Nee,
Kumbh Chrakhra Feri Bhee,
Aar Pair payeen Bhee,
Ruthda maniyen Bhee,
Suthra Jagayeen Bhee,

Ve Sarv Suhagan Karwara

Following is the song while viewing the moon when offering ark or water to the moon.  After offering ark, the woman turns a full circle standing at one place. This is sung five times.
