Power start your day with healthy oats masala roti.

INGREDIENTS:
  • Wheat flour – 1/2 cup
  • Oats – 1 cup, powdered
  • Salt – to taste
  • Water as required
  • Oil – 2 tablespoon
  • For Stir Frying: Onion – 1( finely chopped)
  • Chopped Green chilli – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin seed – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin,Coriander,Red chili powder – 1/4 teaspoon each
  • Garam masala – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves – finely chopped
  • Finely chopped veggies(carrot,beans) – as per taste.
  • Potato – 1 medium sized, boiled and mashed
PREPARATION METHOD:
  1. In a kadai / pan add oil,temper cumin seeds add onion and saute to soft,add ginger-chili paste.
  2. Stir for a minute until the raw smell goes.
  3. Add the masala powders.
  4. Finally add veggies and mashed potato.Add salt and mix well
  5. You can either use this mixture as stuff (paratha) or add to the dough to make masala roti.
  6. If using as a stuff you can add grated panneer to the masala mix.
  7. In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients and the prepared masla veggie mixture.
  8. Give gentle kneading,binding all the ingredients together.
  9. Add water little by little as the moisture in the veg mixture enough to bind the dry ingredients.
  10. Make a soft dough.Cover with cheese cloth for about 15-20 minutes.
  11. Dust flour on the work space.Make rotis from lemon sized dough.
  12. Heat non-stick tawa. Check for hotness.Gently place roti on tawa.
  13. Cook on side.Flip over and cook other side till bubbles spring up.
  14. If want drizzle oil/ghee on both sides.
  15. Give one more flip.
  16. Healthy Masala Oats roti ready.
