Some posts are the kind that stay in your mind for long after you read them, giving rise to many trains of thought and changed courses of action. Such as: I was editing a video collage and looking for two photos to add to it. Instead of photos with people I opted for nature photos. It is wild-flowers season where I live. Plans to go see the blooms changed from a long flat walk one to one with a few hills to scale and caves to explore. Posting about the walk on FB, I chose words for the captions carefully so as not to offend anyone. I am a reluctant FB user. One could say I still feel I’ve been shanghaied into it. Many of us, once we find a form of peace, will do all to preserve it. But a lifelong learner will naturally start investigating that peace with the patience and courage of a scientist: Had I really found my peace or had I just shut up all my emotions and shaken them to the bottom of the vessel, never to rise up again? This announcement will remain one of the most memorable ones ever for me in IL. My fingers went all ditzy over the keyboard as I typed it. At one point, I saw on the screen "..for these loverly snippets .. " instead of the intended ".. for these lovely snippets.." Congratulations Satchi. Well-deserved and long overdue.
