I am happy for AUTHOR OF THE QUOTE HIGHLIGHTED at #44 above.
2. Please go ahead.
Thanks a lot for the nomination. It is indeed an interesting article. Life is truly illusory. This we do realize occasionally but it lasts but for a brief moment before Maya pulls the veil once again (she is a deft one, Maya!!!) and hides the truth of Brahman from us. But just the knowledge that it is that magician Maya at work is comforting to know. She gives us both nightmares as well as beautiful illusions. So while we are under her spell, it is good to learn to cherish the latter and just recognize the former for what it is.
Thanks a lot for nominating this beautiful post, Vijima. I think I read it, responded to it in the thread itself and then forgot to acknowledge your nomination here and to add it to the list. Extremely sorry for the oversight. Thanks a lot for reminding me.
Thanks a lot JS Ma'am for the nomination. I totally agree with you about the letter being a treasure!
No problem dear. I knew you must have forgotten
Dear Viswa and Anusha,
thanks for nominating this really beautiful snippet. Have responded in the thread itself.
Thanks for this nomination. Was thinking over the truth of this perspective on things. It occurred to me that this very dissatisfaction amongst the privileged classes despite having everything might even be construed as a stepping stone in their life's journey. At some point (irrespective of when it happens), they have got to realize that money, comforts etc. do not necessarily bring happiness. It is a nudge towards growth, towards a search for the real sources of happiness in life or in realizing that that very happiness is not to be found outside but within. Maybe that dissatisfaction and whinginess is not such a bad thing after all!!!
This is my third nomination as one of them is eliminated. I nominate @girvani's snippet Gold At The End..... Her snippet made me think a lot about how much to learn from the nature and being observant to handle the obstacles. Sharing her experience indicates that she is physically practicing it, a part that is really hard. There is so much to learn from such snippets.
I am truly humbled. Thank you so much and I am ever grateful!
That is one awesome nomination, Viswa! What a beautiful snippet. There is nothing more enjoyable than reading descriptions of Nature, especially such magical phenomena such as rainbows. The simple joy of seeing one is so well reflected in this snippet. Thanks a lot for the nomination.
