    Dear Alpa,

    Thanks for your suggestion. I feel full after having soup at 5. Otherwise I will be tempted to have some snacks. I will try to have fruits first and soup later.

    Also, can you suggest some good vegetable proteins, I heard dals have lot of carbs. Is that true?

    Diet chart for 06.24.09



    5.30 - 2 glass of warmwater
    7:30 - 2 dosa with sambhar
    9.00 - 1 apple
    11:00 - vegetable salad with baked fish

    1:30 - 1 tsp cottage cheese and 1 tsp ricotta (both lowfat)
    3.30- 2 rye rusk
    5.00 - a few baby carrots and some crackers
    7.00 - vegetable soup
    7:30 - grapes and orange


    water about 2.5 litres
    exercise - 30 minutes workout dvd, 45 minutes brisk walk

    Sadhana--------don't know much abt mustard oil,but it increase body heat so take care,alkso it is good to mix different types of oil n use(i watched one doctor saying this on tv),especially kids should be given groundnut oil but as we elders get health conscious we use corn,sunflower oil n same for them......

    We have only 1 month to go our LO birthday..I'm trying to make it possible as much as I can..

    Please do post Ur diet and also we need to be strict on our exercising..

    We have to see some change in us..that's our target..:thumbsup



    Great..Rest Bambli..rest..as much as you can..first take care of your health then continue with exercise ..don't rush yourself..give enough time to your body..

    Thanks PM09. I will try to reduce the intake of bananas. Also will try to avoid rice items at night time. Just that i am finding it difficult to win over the temptation but will definitely try.

    Thanks Bambli. Your posts are very motivating. Will follow your advice and eat healthy. As i have just started i am finding it difficult to make huge changes but definitely going in the positive direction compared to how i used to lead my life before. So thanks a bunch for all kind words.

    Have not read the doc yet. Will do so soon.

    I am not posting my chart for 24th & 25th June as it was my birthday had treats by family and friends. So i cannot recall what all i ate.. its too much of not so healthy food for sure.. So will continue my diet regime from today onwards...

    bambli i stopped taking rice [not even idly , dosa] at nights .
    this one already suggested by many , ....... i ate it coz ramdev's daliya was not ready for no of days .. thatswhy . & now i made it & having it .....

    anees , i tried your idea .....tomato with chaat masala .... mmmm. it was yummy . thanks for that . how are kutties?

    i prepare uppma & adai with that ... it will be tastier than the plain one .

    iam planning to post my diet now & then & not daily as i feel my diet will remain the same .....& i think i got enough valid suggestions about that . & i will update my progress ,...i.e if i see any reduction in my weight in future! thanks to one & all.
