    Hi All,

    In this thread i 'm sharing with you all "Household Tips & Tricks"


    1. Ink Stain : Apply toothpaste on both sides of an ink stain on the cloth wash the cloth once the paste is dried out.

    2. Oil Stain : Oil Stain can be removed by rubbing the area with a piece of lime dipped in salt. wash off with soap.

    3. Keep away flies : Placing 2-3 tablets of Camphor in a hot iron vessel , keeps the flies away.

Alcohol may be used if the fabric is washable or try rubbing the stain with glycerin and let it sit for 30 minutes [/FONT][FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]before washing.[/FONT]

    [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]5. Removing red wine stain: Saturate the stain with white wine and watch it disappear.[/FONT]

    [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]6. [/FONT][FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]For makeup stains:[/FONT][FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif] Spray with hairspray, blot and repeat until the stain is removed. Wash as usual. [/FONT]

    [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]7. Stains on Upholstery and Carpets: Shaving Cream makes a good spot remover for Upholstery and Carpets.[/FONT]

    [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif][FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]8. To clean soiled shirt collars, use a small brush with shampoo.[/FONT] [/FONT]

    [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif][FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]9.To make white fabrics as white as possible, add a teaspoon of peroxide to hot water and soak. [/FONT]

    [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]10. For bloodstains pour peroxide on them and use cold water.[/FONT]

    [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]11. To remove rust from washable fabrics, put lemon juice and salt on the stain and place in the sun to dry. Also you can make a mixture with equal parts of salt and cream of tartar. Wet the spot, apply the mixture and place in the sun.[/FONT]

    [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]12. To get rid of ants coming into your home, stick cucumber rinds at their point of entry! The ants are allergic and won't enter. [/FONT]
    [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]13. Use old boxes of baking soda to freshen drains...pour in drain and chase with vinegar and after 5 minutes rinse with boiling water. [/FONT]

    [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]14.To deodorize carpets, sprinkle them with baking soda at night and vacuum in the morning. [/FONT]

    [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]15.The bathroom will be much easier to clean after a steamy bath or shower. The steam will help loosen the dirt. [/FONT]

    [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]16. White toothpaste will shine silver up beautifully! Simply use a dab on a cloth, rub on the silver jewelry and buff as you would with silver polish! It'll shine, shine, and shine! [/FONT]

    [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]17.Use a slice of lemon to rub off dried eggs from tableware. [/FONT]


    [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]18. Use baking soda on a damp sponge to remove odors from cutting boards. [/FONT]

    19. [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]For an unpleasant odor from the garbage disposal, grind lemon or orange peels in it. [/FONT]

    20. To clean the family toothbrushes, soak them in an equal mix of baking soda and warm water overnight once every week or so. Rinse well before using.
