    Wacky Wednesday. Completely spent after a 12 hour workday. These type of days are going to become the norm for the foreseeable future. I will need to figure out a way to make time for myself despite it.

    looks like everyone got busy at the same time!
    World orientation is changing :)
    Anyways hoping all is well and good with everyone
    About the consistency, it took a beating these last few days/rather weeks.

    Too much happening these past days. Couldn’t get much done, though still wouldn’t call it zero but it was much lower than 50 percent so its more apt called a a break!!

    Still can’t see committing to everything going forward from today , so better to keep doing whatever I can within my normal routine.

    Eg a good walk and step climbing has been added due to certain unavoidable reasons and the same carries. However, the dedicated morning hour needs to make a comeback!

    Soon enough though

    first a couple of inches of ice rain followed by snow. snowed in for four full days unable to get out to get my workout or for anything….. not able to shovel either. Waiting for Sun god to appear and help with melting. Everything shut down and too cold to do yoga….caught up with a lot of pending work – organizing and stuff around the house, making all those phone calls that were long overdue. But happy to say that the rest especially diet and water especially work like a charm. Now it is a lifestyle choice I also am quite regular with chanting and love it. So continued that. Meditation took a nosedive as did reading….and by that, I mean reading for pleasure! And very grateful that my gym now offers 4days spinning

    I also had started student teaching at another school the last week of Jan (along with my regular teaching at my school) as part of my course work ☹ This is certainly taking a toll on me – I need to do this for a couple of months more….hence no updates here….

    So, the updates for last week….

    During my Sunday hike, I took a fabulous fall! Landed on my right knee and right elbow to break the fall and got a dozen cuts from the jagged rocks underneath. Was pretty sore for a few days. Elbow is still tender to the touch. I've met all the goals except workouts. Work is a pressure cooker right now and will remain so until I retire probably. Have to take it as the new normal and fit life around it. Meditating more than usual to counter the stress - about 20 minutes a day. I did go out for a walk today but counting this week as a wash. Will start back from tomorrow.

    But then you averred at the end that you would continue with exercise tomorrow is relief to the reader in me. The title " She Stoops to Conquer" crossed the mind.

    I wrote about a friend who had a fall in the snow while walking her dog - a nasty fall with femur broken into three pieces and then deleted it. Here you are :(

    That brings me to the last day of my challenge….a lot of falling and picking up this time around but glad to have done what I could, especially during the holiday season and these bitter cold winter months. Happy to restart starting Monday, the 14th…..theme being a lot of self-love and no guilt.

    I would like to switch to Ashtanga surya namaskaras this time around – in the past this has caused me injuries when done on a daily basis. So I am only going to be hopeful on this one and not going to push even at the slightest of discomforts or switch to previous style of surya namaskaras.

    But first take it easy weekend ......getting ready for super bowl......too excited this time :)

    Thanks Srama! It was an odd slow motion fall. I could see myself going down but felt powerless to stop myself. Gravity and momentum were not my friends.

    Congratulations on a second run through the challenge! Of course the Bengals are playing! : ) I'm partial to the Rams but only slightly. Good luck to the Bengals! Wish the 9ers had made it.
