    Despite my best efforts, between DD not feeling well (after booster shot) and Sankranthi celebrations and preparations could not work out or do Sun Salutations. Rest of the things worked smoothly into my day! My absolute favorite part of any festival is the drawing of rangoli infornt of the house in the limited space and in winters, weather permitting ie., no snow or rain. 22F seemed decent to make the design today - love the festive feeling!     Been very sick for the past few days. Didn’t have the energy to workout though I managed the rest of the tasks. Was feeling a little better today so got out for a hike. It was all the medicine I needed, for both body and mind.

    Taking a break from regular exercise the previous day was good for me. I thoroughly enjoyed doing yoga for an hour!

    I am glad you went on a hike - nothing like being in nature! Though i say this, as I look out my patio door I am going burrr with a couple of inches snow on the ground making me wonder if I will be able to take the car out early in the morning what with frozen temperatures, drive ways and all....but it is a story for tomorrow !

    I've been lucky to find a couple of very determined hiking buddies. My rule is if someone asks me for a hike, I don't say no. As a result I am outdoors every weekend. And winter is such a glorious time in the valley, it's almost criminal to waste a good day indoors. I don't know how you motivate yourself to step out in the snow. I'd probably use it as an excuse to hibernate through the winter. : )

    I caved today ☹ couldn’t take myself to the gym, couldn’t walk outside because of the snow and just could not draw myself to the mat for 45 mins……..Glad to do the rest though! No school played some role too....
