    We also sold everything in USA then went to India for 2 months and then came to Canada. DH was not keen on keeping the car and then transporting it to anywhere. Its better to sell and go if you are not 100% sure of when and where you will come back. Gives you peace of mind.

    Very relevant even today as many IL folks would be encountering similar issues.
