Kitchen sink garbage disposal

i live in an apartment which does not have a garbage disposal int he kitchen sink.So i have out a garbage strainer which i bought from walmart and placed it on the drainer.

Now even after this water seems to be clogging. and we have to plunge each time.
We also tried something called liquid plummer.

no Success.bonk

Do we get Drainex in the US...IS that good drainer
Any great ideas to get rid of the clogging problem are welcome....:thumbsup

hey, you get some kind of drain cleaner in orange color bottle in Walmart, I don' t remember the name exactly but you have to use that whole box at one go...try that and see. It worked really well in our bathrooms so far.

You can also buy a pipe snake at Walmart in plumbing section. Not too costly. You run this down the drain and it will dislodge the problem. Ask the sales person for this item.
