how to remove rust powers from iron dosa pans

Hi sis.........

I was using iron dosa pan from the long time...unfortunately rust generated from it...now I am unable to cook dosa on it...rust is generating from it...how to remove it...kindly tell me...

Take steel scrubber and scrub it nicely with soap and wash it then apply cooking oil and keep for a day if the rust goes off then it is suitable to use it if not it is time you buy a new pan.

when the tava is still hot hold it with the pakad and scrub the rust with the spatula with which u make dosa. all the rust will come out when the tava is hot.hope it helps
