Has anything ever caught fire in your microwave???

    I set the timer on microwave for 30 secs, saw the potato fries on fire :spin

    Using microwave oven for around 5 years, never happened before.

    Has anyone experienced this?

    Hi,

    Well, I had kept food wrapped in an aluminium foil and this had flared once..so never again with foil.
    But am not sure, why fries have to go up in flames though! were they too brittle?
