Guidance required to buy a microwave oven with convection

    Hello friends,

    I wanted to buy a microwave oven with convection since long time.But could not buy it as I have so many doubts and not aware about the uses/usage of it .

    I tried browsing internet for uses and could list down few
    1.Heating food
    2.Boiling vegetables
    3.Baking
    4.Making popcorn

    kindly help me with following
    1.any other uses supplementing gas stove in daily cooking
    2.optimal size I should choose for a family of 4
    3.brand/company
    4.any other features I should look for

    P.S. I have a four burner stove and Induction stove which I use in daily cooking.

    Some of the microwaves recently are coming with Auto cook options. Even without that you could cook Rice, vegetables in that
    You can make tea. Microwave is like a magic box you can do most of the cooking in microwave. just you have to change the style a little. Taste wise not much difference. in fact i find some of the items more tastier with microwave.

    After checking for lots of fbs I went for the Panasonic 28ltrs nnc784 convection mw. So far its good.

    i make idli, rava idli, dhoklacutlet, pasta, rasam, fried veg, and other snacks in it as well.

    i also use it for defrosting bread...i use samsung convection and its good..been a year..the ceramic coating is coming off though

    Check out for LG MWOs.. They have a good range to choose from and currently better than the others available in India. Higher end ones even have the option for barbeque..
