    today's score is 3.0

    total water including the warm water early morning-2 liters
    for b'fast had the prasadam (today is sunday in magha month, a day for worshipping the Sun God!) had just 2 small servings.

    lunch- tomato dal, cucumber chutney(dosakai), beans (chikkudikai) curry,curd with a little rice.
    evening-tea
    dinner- 3 aloo+carrot parathas(with minimum oil) and tomato and curd raitha.
    did asanas for 30 min.

    Hi Friends,

    My score for today 31/01/10 is 2.5
    My reporting score is 89.1

    Had idli with chilli chutney at 9:30 ( got up late!!!)
    Had rice, chicken, vegs and curd at 2:30
    Had 1 cup of coffee at 4:30
    Had fruits
    Had dosa with chilli chutney and little chicken at 8:30

    not much of exercises today.

    Hi All,

    Today is Jan 31st 2010 (US Eastern standard Time)

    Reporting score 88.5
    score for today 2.8

    My food today -

    1) I had 6 1/2 glasses of water today
    2) oat Cereal with almonds and milk
    3) Lunch - mango dal and rice and okra, and eggplant vegitable curry
    4) Excercise - Walking for 35 mins.
    6) Dinner - Roti, tomato dal, beans curry yogurt, apple.

    Hi ,

    This contest has been a huge learning experience for me,I made a food diary where I was writing my daily food intake , exercise, n water intake.Within days it helped me to see my weak areas n how to improve my eating habits n routine.

    I m very satisfied n happy with the result. During this month I didnt get hunger pangs coz I was eating at regular intervals n eating healthy.. I m going for 1 hr pilates class 3 times a weeks and I m doing 30 mins aerobics at home 3 times a week with DVD.

    My starting weight was 67.9 kgs n current weight is 65 kgs. I lost around 3 kgs in a month.

    Starting BMI was 24.95 n current BMI is 23.7

    Starting health age was 38.5yrs n current health age is 33.5yrs..

    Starting lifestyle score was 55 n current is 78.

    Todayz reporting score is 77.9 n 3.

    To tell u honestly I already feel like a winner coz I got what I wanted ...a healthy life style n I m on my to being 60 - 62 kg (ideal weight for my height) for my 40th birthday.

    I know that I can sustain this lifestyle for a long time to come. I dont have to starve myself or give up any kind of food. If I dont exercise 1 day then I makeup for it the next day or I just go for a walk.

    The golden mantra which I learnt in this contest is moderate n regular intake of food n liquids n regular movement of the body, in whatever way possible.

    I said in the beginning of this contest.....we are gonna do it......and yes girls, we did it

    My update on BMI and Life style score:
    BMI: 24.9 (same as initial BMI).
    Lifestyle score: 88 (Previous it was 77)
    Health age: 20.3 (Initial it was 21.9)

    Though I don't see any change in my BMI, I am very happy for improving my lifestyle and health age. This is what I need to motivate myself for the healthy weight loss. As I'm trying to conceive I could go for gym only for 7 days, prior to ovulation and later did only walk that too normal walk than brisk walk. Before this contest I lost lot of weight but there is lot of difference in the diet after participating this contest. Now I know how to reduce weight by taking nutritional diet. As I mentioned in my goal, I still see this contest as gaining healthy life style rather than loosing weight. Regarding my other goal for doing Pranayaamam, same as gym I did for 1 week later just spend 5 minutes daily on breathing but it helped in improving my lifestyle score.
    I am happy for participating in this contest.
