Get in Shape 2010!

    My current weight : 158 lbs
    My BMI 26.9

    I am managing to wake up early morning even on weekends along with weekdays. Feels really nice. I have started this new habit of rising early just 15 days back and need to maintain it even after contest is over.
    I found this link very useful if someone wants to implement the same habit.

    Hi All,

    My score for 25/1/10 is 3.0 and reporting score is 83.8.
    All meal times and yoga session went as per schedule today.
    I can now effortlessly drink 2 liters of water daily..a practice which I had stopped following in between

    Hi friends,

    My score for today 25/01/2010 is 2.8
    My reporting score is 68.7

    Had moong dhal dosa at 8:00
    Had dalia , veg curry, veg dry dish, sprouts, curd at 01:00 pm
    Had lots of fruits
    Had wheat dosa for dinner.

    Did 1 1/2 hr of cardio

    hey knot2share!
    i've also put on a little weight,just 1/2 kg.but i did all that i should do ,like, getting more active and eating more raw vegetables, and more fruits . i have also increased my water intake. god knows what is wrong. i guess i should be doing even more exercises. just walking and asanas(including surya namaskarams )are not enough for me maybe.Please GIS Team, can you give any suggestions in this matter? how will i know if body fat has increased or it could be the increased amount of water intake, that has increased my weight a bit?:drowning
    one more doubt, since i am a kapha body type,will too much water intake be good for me?

    I have lost some pounds of weight so far. Thankfully! :)

    But I can relate to what you are going through with the weight gain, as it has happened to me in past years when I tried to lose weight.

    It could be due to water retention, or due to muscle development from exercise (depending on what kind of exercise you are doing), or due to bloating related to woman's most wonderful and loyal friend (never fails to show up!), the 'period'! :)

    Sometimes another indicator of our 'keeping in shape' is the total number of inches lost on the body, rather than just depending on tracking weight. It could be that the muscles in one or more parts of the body are developing and so inches may be shaved off there, while the muscles are getting shaped, but body weight is constant or has increased.
