Any suggestions for using minimal oil for deep frying in a electric stove (coil) kitchen. My friend mentioned that she cannot use the indian deep kadais. Flat bottomed pans, a lot of oil need to be poured though.
I have been using the indian copper bottom kadais for ages now. Have used them both on coil as well as smooth top. When you purchase kadai in India try to find something that doesn't have a sharp bottom (like calcutta kadai we call it). Any round bottomed one should just be fine. -Uma
