I moved into an apartment, two months ago. Its a 5 year old apartment. We called professional cleaners and pestcontrol to clean up the apartment before moving in. We also left the apartment 3 weeks vacant just to let it freshen up.

I have less furniture and I have a clean home except for the cockroaches. People comment on how I keep my home so clean. Only I know how many cockroaches are inside my home. I am scared one will come out when we guests. We have cleaner boy come in on alternate days to sweep, vaccum, dust and mop. Other days I vaccum or sweep according to the need.

I have a closed waste bin and don’t leave unwashed plates at night. Why do I have so many cockroaches? I feel disgusted and hard to cook and eat from my home these days. Its there everywhere even my balcony . What to do?

Any home remedies? I am calling pest control again. What else can I do?

Moving to a very cold climate would solve that problem. Otherwise, you need to buy roach traps and set them in every corner. Boric Acid can also be used to kill roaches. They like to eat that powder, and then they bloat up and die.

Keep all your cooked food in closed containers when they are on the counter top.

    Hi Dear,

We also faced same problem in my apartment. I dont know from which region you are if you are in India i can suggest you to go for this pest control link https://hicare.in/.

Initially we used to live in independent house where we used to have lot of cockroaches and when we shifted to apartment they also came with us and literally i used to get irritate when we see those and they spread entire in our entire kitchen. We used lot's of home remedies and local pest control, hit and cockroach gels but nothing worked out.

After that we opted for this Hicare pest control and in first service itself we are very much satisfied. Its been 3 months till now I haven't seen single cockroach in the house and I am very happy.

Anyway you already tried Pest control try this one also if it work outs you can be happy we can get rid of that cockroaches.

In India? In the warmer parts of the country? Then you need a few gecko's in the house. They hunt down the roaches that come out in the open. This is a good ecologically sound way to deal with the roaches, and no chemicals would be involved. You can get some leopard gecko's from pet shops and release them in your house. They also adorn the walls quite nicely.
In India Boric acid can be found in pharmacies, as well as online grocery stores like bigbasket.com. It is also a good powder lubricant for Carrom Boards -- shops that sell carrom boards would also have them. They come in sealed plastic bags within small cardboard boxes. Like this one for Rs.250:[IMG]

The ready made boric acid mixed with wheat atta balls available in provision shops in India. But one can make it at home easily by suitably miixing it with dough ready for making chap pathi. An excellent repellant. Balls dried up placed near windowsill & other crevices orcracks prevents cockroach in the vicinity.
    Thanks and Regards.

In America they use Roach Motel, the motels in which roaches check in, but they don't check out.

Some places are just very suitable for roaches to flourish in. I also lived for many years in an apartment where there was a pest problem. We found the source of the roaches. They were coming from one bathroom. So we hardly ever used it!!! That and only that kept the roaches away from the rest of the house. No amount of pest control worked. Finally we got fed up and moved out.
