clothes looking old

Hi all,

All my clothes even the ones bought just one month back are becoming dull and old looking. I would have wore them just 3-4 times and so washed them 3-4 times. But regardless of the material (like cotton, polyester etc) all my clothes like nighties and chudidars are looking like old ones.

I wash them in washing machine only. Does any of you face this problem. Do you know what could be done so that at least my news ones wont look this way. I can't/don't want to buy clothes for just 3-4 washes. Please advice.
