Are these bothering your garden too? I like to watch them around in the garden, but they are eating up new leaves, seeds, saplings, bulbs etc. Is there any way I can protect my plants without killing them?

You can grow plants with colorful fruits so they get attracted to this plants.
You can also use few chimes in trees to distract squirrels and birds

spm, a bird feeder should divert the birds but then the squirrels can and will get to that too. I believe coffee works and also look for something called bitter apple spray - people use it for dogs to keep away from furniture and stuff like that, so you might want to go to a pet shop and look for it. Spray it on plants and it will hopefully keep the rodents out.

If one of these works, do share with us :)

Thanks Srama, I will try the spray and see if it helps. Another issue with sprays is that it is raining very occasionally here, so I guess the spray will be washed out everytime it rains. I am also thinking of fencing it. Let's see...whichever works. I will keep updating :)

fencing obviously is the best solution and many people suggest walmart for better fences! Hope it works.

I have lost a good set of cushions already but never put it down to this. I took it on my shoulders that I had left them out in bad weather. But we know the real story today ;-) Oh well, they were old pillows anyways and I needed a change.

They cut open the pillows and I was wondering as to how come the wind is damaging them so much. After all it was not the wind. They were not too old and not too new - would have served me a couple of years more!
