    Dear diya,
I just sprinkle the chilli seeds in a pot which are collected from my masala container and when they grow to 5/6" I transplant them. For tomatoes I squeeze out the seeds from over ripe tomatoes in pots and mix it up with the soil. When they grow up I transplant them. I use polythene bags and even cardboard boxes under laid with polythene bags to plant seasonal plants and throw them out after the season. This year we have planted ladysfinger in cardboard box and thrice collected the yield so far. We have a banana tree also in a pot which is now kept in a cardboard box.If you have good soil you can grow halthy plants. Wish you a happy gardening,
    Love,
    PS

    Dear Usha,
Due to security reason we are now staying in a flat, but still our passion for gardening has not diminished. But there is no comparison between plants grown on fertile land and pots. Yet we are deriving some satisfaction by growing plants in pots.
    Thanks for appreciating our garden,
    Love,
    PS

    hi pushpavalli,
Congrats on the returns from the efforts u taking ur plants, they reward u with both satisfaction and in kind.
Regarding the dhaniya not growing in the garden - dhaniya needs tobe splited before u sow them.for best results get dhaniya seeds from shop where they sell veg seeds, the reason being, the seeds would be treated with medicine, before u sow them crush them and see that all the seeds have splited.
Dhaniya doesn't grow in summers.and it generally takes time to germinate compared to rest.
