hi i want to start gardening i have a balcony in my apartment and I am a new comer to gardening so pls help me what type of plants are best in my balcony and from where i can get pots and all gardening stuff pls share your experience here
In US u can get plants and pots from lowes, home depot or even walmart with a garden center. what type of garden u want ? like flowering garden, ever green or veg garden . how much sunlight u get in ur balcony. u can get a list of hardy and easy care plants for ur zone by googling and start. Happy gardening
I have the older edition of this and it is excellent and very understandable pictures and illustrations so the gardening novice can understand. I suggest get this book and get ideas and then when you go to the gardening center you have some ideas. http://www.amazon.com/Illustrated-Gardening-Editors-Readers-Digest/dp/0762102764

hi thanks for the tips I want flower garden in my balcony and what type of soil i can use in my garden'
Do you get good sunlight or is the balcony mostly shady? This is important to select successful plants. For containers, you can look in Walmart or Home Depot. Costco has only the huge ones. Miracle Gro potting mix is suitable for most plants.
Also, it is not a bad idea to have some perennials so that you can enjoy them year after year. You just have to walk around a garden center, narrow down what you like and just bring them home!
