    all good intentions behind the Q..huh ok good boy. :)
    I qualify junk as things that are high in sugar or the ones with high fructose corn syrup ... too many fat cals etc. oh plus the fast food varieties or highly processed food. indian sweets - though they have healthy ingredients, the white sugar plus lots of ghee nullifies it for me so I dont 'host' sweets at home mostly. not much of a junk eater so it is easy for me to stick to my fav dark chocolate (yes, mindful of limiting it to 1 square a day.. i fail at times. ;-)

    My list:
    1. Drink 1.5 liter of water after getting up
    2. Yoga/Pranayama
    3. No sweet snacks
    i'll add as i gain momentum.

    I find it easier to maintain healthy lifestyle when I often eat the foods that I really like. It fills both my mind and body.

    When I eat only foods that I dislike, most of the times, I end up snacking randomly. It results in demotivation for me.

    It is all about proportion size... set a calorie goal and try to stick to it, the healthier food you eat and more calories you burn the more "junk" you can get away with but it should be less often... I will eat junk but only if I did some extra exercise that day to make up for it... so I often times think before snacking

    My rules for 6 weeks.

    1. No fried food.(allowed once a week)
    2. 2 liters of water daily.
    3. 30 mins minimum walk + yoga exercise
    4. No sweets.(allowed once a week)
    5. No junk food.(allowed once a week)
    6. Green tea daily
    7. Small meals every 2 hrs
    8. 1 fruit each day
    9. Daily salad in diet
    10. Include flaxseeds daily in diet.

    I will rate myself daily for these points.(10 points)
    This is my 6 weeks target.

    had skipped white sugar totally, but now back to adding it in coffee. Country sugar doesn't give that addictive taste to instant coffee.

    It is good with tea(with or without milk) though.

    The golden rule is to eat everything and work out everything, but then rules are rules..... .. .

    Hai all,

    I did not set my rules yesterday. Here it is:

    1. Get up at 5 in the morning :) (which i fail to do often)
    2. Drink 1 ltr water in empty stomach
    3. Follow my diet and exercise regimen religiously
    4. Reduce 4-5 kg by Nov 2013 :)
