OTG or Microwave??

    Hey Lakshmi nice to read your feedback on OTG,but i have a quick querry about baking Muffins in OTG.
    Normally which option do we use for baking Muffins ?
    or if you can tell me the complete procedure it will be helpful to me................

    Hi Kiran,

    I generally download recipes from the net from sites like Muffin Recipes when i waht to bake. Cant remember the recipes for long :bonk

    When baking the muffins, i preheat the oven, bake the muffins at 250 for 20 mins and then use the toast option for 10-15 mins more. It is in the toast mode, you get the brown outer layer.

    Disclaimer: i am a newbie when it comes to baking.. :)

    Hi Lakshmi,

    really you have given a great information regarding OTG and CM. Actually we r planning to go for a CM. my main requirement is baking bread, cake n grilling. I was in more confussion to take what. Lakshmi, I have small clarification, do we have roast option with OTG. like pop corn or papads?
    and regarding CM I heard many like some may spoil the food values, oven will pass electrical radicals through the food. n it may cause cancer.
    is that safe using any these type of tools.

    hii i received a microwave wid grill option as a wedding gift....i tried pizza ...bt dint it dint hav d crispiness that we get wen made in an otg....i want to bake cakes but unable to do so this microwave.....am confused as to buy an otg or a microwave with a convection option......plz guide......:)

    Function control:
    This oven is equipped

    GRILL/BROIL - Only the top heating
    the corner of element is on. It is meant for
    the OTG as grilling/broiling
    TOAST WITH CONVECTION - Both top
    and bottom heating element along with
    the fan are on .
    ROTISSERIE - Only the top heating element and the rotisserie motor are on.
    BAKING - Only the bottom heating element is on

    you can understand by the fig. indicated in the function nob.

    this is a good post..even I got Bajaj otg very recently and had been successful making bakes and muffins twice :)..its very soft in OTG compared to Microwave..yet to try grilling though..

    Lakshmi, i saw this complete coversation trail and i have decided to buy same Bajaj OTG 2800 which you bought. and seriously your patience is really amazing answering everyone. i am new to this forum and i feel like it is friends discussing and providing solutions for the kitchen!! keep up the great work ladies!!
