I do agree completely. being a woman I depend on online web based tools for time tracking and management. And that is the best part of my life in managing my home.

    Dear all,

I have not been able to post regularly since DDs school started. Weekend was wet and raining, went to a street fair and museum fest on saturday and had dinner at Saravana Bhavan, it was yummy. Sunday was fully at home, cleaning, cooking and some studies for DD. Evening had invited a friends family for tea.

Monday, prepared, Idli and sambar for BF and sambar rice for lunch. DD leaves at 8.15 and DH also at the same time, from then till 4.30 in the evening when DD comes back, I am free at home, watched a movie, had lunch and slept. Evening neighbour invited for tea, went there and had good time.Came back and prepared avarekkai upma for dinner.

Today morning, DH left to Paris for 4 days, :(. Prepared Pongal for lunch box for DD and milk and egg for BF. I had yesterdays left overs for BF. Then, after DD left, some kitchen cleaning, took bath, watched my serial, chat with friends on FB and went and did some grocery and toilette items shopping. I have got the sink cleaner, have to use it first time here today night to unclog and contents in the wash basins and kitchen sinks. I will have lunch now and take a quick nap before DD arrives.

    Hi All,

    My yesterday's update:

Got up at 5.30 AM and started to office. MIL prepared B/F & lunch and i packed them for me & my DH. Left to office. Evening went back home and refreshed for sometime. Played with my kid and chopped veggies for today. Cleaned the vessels and retired for the day :)

I did not do much of a work yesterday at home and i am really guilty about it. Gotta accustom myself to it gradually.

    Sound

After dropping ds went for a brisk walk, Prepared ragi dosa for me. Then cleaned vessels, kitchen counter, and arranged everything in the house and swept the house. One of my friend came and passed 1 hr with her. Craving to eat some thing delicious and spicy but so tried and ended up preparing masala oats with veg salad. After lunch started preparing
bread masala upma , used all the veggies in the fridge. It toook more than 45 min to prepare as i have to grate the veggies. Then went to brisk walk and picked ds.
In the evening, cleaned the remaining vessels, pressed the uniforms for this week, prepared question paper for ds, while ds is studying folded the clothes, peeled garlic, separated the pomegranate kernels, cut the veggies and every thing was done within 7. Then prepared dosa for ds and played some games in the ipad.
After they slept, watched tv for some time.

Separated pomegranate kernels for today's packing . While we are reading 'Ali baba and the forty thives' , hubby arrived.
After hubby's arrival, we were talking with him. Why i mentioning this is, this is first time hubby talked with us even without changing the dress, as he finished his dinner at office itself. Ds and I shared our last week experience for ours with him yesterday only. Gave fruits to hubby and cleaned the vessels. All of us had milk and went to bed.

    Hi all,

    Dear Mahe,

How old is your son and which school does he attend? I see in your posts that you give so much importance to his studies, is he in higher classes?

Today woke up at 6.30 and I prepared semebadanekayi sambar and aloo fry, packed for DD for lunch and Idli and chutney for BF. Sent dd to school, cleaned hob and burners, and put declogging liquid to kitchen sink. Since it is sunny today, put all the pillows and blankets to dry out in the sun to get rid of the smell. Then have put one load of washing machine, then, took bath, did puja for krishna and had BF. Now in IL browsing and drinking coffee.

    Hello Dears
    How are you all?

    Welcome back Bhuvi
How are you and Varsha? It was long ago.... I used to schedule work around my babies' routines. You will find that the majority of the time we will be getting things ready for the baby.
Yes, it is a good idea to follow Jeni who has a little one too.

    Hi Jeni
I sincerely hope you find a nanny soon. Very glad you found a maid and a cook. Sure that is very helpful.

    Hi AGirl!
You go girl! How do you find the 15 minute rule? Are you tired still?

    Hi Mathiravi
NIce reading your updates. I see your weight loss ticker; did you lose weight by diet alone or exercise too? When do you exercise?
Yes, making bhakshanams standing for a long time is really painful.
I bought a single burner stove just so I can sit down on a low stool and make these. Last Deepavali I sat at the entrance of the garage and made them. The house also did not smell of oil.

    Hi Mahesaran
Thanks for the update on butter making.

    Hi Manju
How is your foot? Do take care.
My mind is going round and round just reading about all that you do.
    Do take time for yourself.
Trust you celebrated Janmashtami with your family in a grand way.

    Hi Shaalu
How are you? How do you find the iPad?
I see your weight loss ticker too! That is inspiring!

    Hello Akila
about Chennai Express i will write below. Gorgeous23 also has asked about my opinion.
I am yet to jot down your tips.

    Hi Gorgeous
Glad your maid is back. About CE please see below.

    Welcome back Soundarya!
Glad you had a wonderful vacation. Don't feel guilty about not doing work. Just be determined to get back to it.
I too take days off saying i deserve the break :)

    Hello Anupama
Best wishes to your daughter on starting her school. How is your yoga class going on?

If I missed anyone please pardon....

About Chennai Express - Except for the last fighting scene and a few scenes which I felt were unnecessary the movie was not bad -
    1. I like Deepika Padukone - a pleasant smiling face, tall, & elegant. The majority of the time she is wearing the saree properly and covering her front.
    2. No short skirts and no perverted photo shots upwards from below the knee.
    3. And finally there was nothing to think about when I left the theater. Exactly my policy of movie going.
    ***************
I came to give my updates but time ran out.
    Will be baacck!!

    hahaha.. kkrish...

I always follow 15 min rule... only prob.. after that 15 mins I end up switching it off and continuing the work...

Now I have brainwashed myself that I'll drop everything the moment the timer rings.. Thanks to all the suggestions here, like

manjukps: In my point of view, time for family comes first. House keeping comes the next.
gorgeous: dont let your perfectionism sidetrack you.
akila mani: As much as a clean and organized home makes life wonderful for the family, the effort to keep it so shouldn't be the cause for making it stressful or boring for the family that lives in it. It defeats the whole purpose. Strike a balance.

Copy pasted all the suggestions, come back daily and remind myself..
I have stopped feeling like a clock now.. :)))
