    Alpa,
    Am trying to reach my goal wt. I need to now work on 2 areas. Can you tell me what to do to tone my legs & arms part? I need to get a nice shape from hips. Just tread mill won't be of much help I guess. What else can be done?

    For my body type, I gain only when I overeat!!!
    Eating in limits & ex always help me in my wt loss.

    Actually, I have never touched 142lbs in this past 6yrs I would say. With 1 kid & if am just 135, then am really great looking.. But, I end up eating 4 idly or 3 Sosa as dinner followed by milkshake & that is my problem.. I will really need to reduce my dinner in take to achieve my goal.. My Hubby is seeing my ex for the 1st time & told me that am performing very good in gym. Only thing he asked me to do is, reduce dinner in take.

    Hi Anitha,
    I have reached my pre pregnancy weight(58 kg) now.( I gained 20 kg during pregnancy.) only now I came back to pre pregnancy weight.i am struggling for my ideal weight for my height(52 kg). I hope I will reach within this year end.

    Hi,

    This is Akis here. I am also looking to lose atleast 10 kgs this year. I am planning to do staircase climbing 10 minutes every day and cut down on my food intake. Currently, I am taking cracked wheat with sambar and curry for breakfast, 11 am coffee, kellogs cereals for lunch, 4 pm coffee with apple, then dinner 3 rotis with dal.

    Today's update:

    5.50 am. Wake up
    7 am. Tea
    8.30 am. Cereals
    12.30 pm. 2 Chappathi with egg bhurji
    5 pm. 5 tapioca chips
    7.15 pm. 1 bowl veg soup
    8.30 pm. 1 glass watermelon juice without sugar

    Water : 2 1/2 ltr

    Exercise :

    LS walk at home 3 miles for 45 minutes
    Ab exercise 15 minutes

    Food Diet:
    bf - oats
    fruits
    lunch - 2 roti
    dinner - idly/puthina chutney

    Ex:
    tread mill(I couldn't do more than 45mins, I got lower ab pain, so I had to skip the rest of my ex portions)

    Dear Vidsn,
    please do not feel depressed, take the day as it comes, since you aren ot exercising i would like you to have only 2 chappatis at night, include more fruits as a snack, at 3 pm have a banana and a papaya, then if still hungry have nuts. snack on fruits it will keep you filled up, avoid mangos, chiku, sitafel, etc.

    Dear Anitha,
    i saw your email and your post too, sorry for not replying i am busy writting exams and tomorrow i have a spoken exam so am preparing for that. the thigh pain is the sweet pain dear you are actually burning your fat, in ladies most of of our fats are stored in the thighs, stomach and the breasts. the pain will go away just be patient. start jogging in the park if you can, start with a brisk walk then do jogging 5mins again walk 5mins like that you will be burning your fats and also building up a stamina after sometime you would be able to jog without stopping. for the lower body cardio is the best exercise, walking and running too. so continue with it, if you can do zumba or aerobics it will help you to lose your lower body weight.
    One more thing Anita, please do not reduce your food intake, as it is you are eating too little, you need to have a good breakfast and since you have reached a stage where by the weight will take time to move you need to change your exercise routine and your diet too., you will see a shift in your weight

    Dear Akis,
    welcome here. i would suggest that start your day with fruits, followed by oats or cereals then a little indian breakfast for mid morning snack have a bowl of salad. sprouts or, fruits or nuts, lunch have 2 rotis, mid afternoon snack have fruits, nuts and in the evening before your dinner havea bowl of soup and 1 roti only, then have your apple an hour after your dinner. Drink 2 litres of hot water and exercise.Apart from climbing stairs what exercises do you do? please indicate and also your height, current weight and goal weight

    Todays food intake:
    7.00 AM: Tea
    8.45 AM: Cornflex with dry fruits and milk
    11.00 AM: Coffee
    1.00 PM: Rice with Plain Dal and Butter milk
    4.00 PM: Black Grape Juce without Sugar
    8.00 PM: yet to deside.. :confused2:
