Vaastu and Feng Shui

Dear all,
In this age of living in flats it is not possible for us to construct homes following strict vaastu n FS rules ,so if anyone can post the most important points to be noted while buying or changing residences in order of importance it would be very helpful.
It would be nice if any one tells the strict do's n don'ts for family health,prosperity,children studies and mental peace in terms of vaastu and Fs.Experts please help,as we are living in rented apts and have to change every 2yrs,what pts shd we consider before moving.

Thanks a lot for yr quick reply.i did go thru the thread you posted,but i am not looking for decoration ideas or remedies ,what i want to know is what points should be kept in mind while buying or shifting house so that it is vaastu n Feng shui friendly at least to a certain extent,for eg south facing houses do not suit everyone ,u should ask an astrologer otherwise it brings only loses to majority of the people.Any more such tips will help.
