    Dear Pushpa ma'am,

a question... do you first sow the seeds in a different container and then transfer the saplings to the main pot? what is the size of the pot that you've used for pavakkai? how many plants approx you've planted in one? please i ask these questions because of a bad experience with peas last summer:( when the plants are tiny i didn't know how many would fit in a pot. when they grew up the space was too less so they gave me dwarfed peas:((

    Thanks
    Latha

    Dear Latha,
I sow seeds of tomatoes, chillies, brinjal like small seeds in a container and when they grow up to 4/5" height I transplant them in bigger pots.
I keep 3 plants in a pot height around 18" diameter around 15".
I have given you the site link which will give you an idea the size of containers for different plants.

Wish you a happy gardening and a bountiful yield!

I have attached the pictures of the bitter gourd and kheera (vellari) plants which are about to flower.

thank you Pushpa ma'am. I'll check out the website. here it's still frosty and i'll have to wait for a month more before sowing seeds. i usually buy tomato as tiny sapling and they're good. when i sow seeds myself something or the other goes wrong:( your pretty plants are inspiring me to try again... what more pleasure than to wake up one fine morning to a flower that'll eventually become a fruit/vege...
