    Todays lunch..
    IMG_2205.JPG

Varagu rice, salads(lettuce, apple, pear, olives, cucumbers and little roasted flax seeds),
Brahmi\vallarai sambhar, sabji (onions, corn, beans, carrot, capsicum and tapioca) fry. Curds.

P.s this vallarai that i picked up from the market felt a little hard. It was from the srilankan aisle, so anyone who wants to check it check at the srilankan veges. Would be labelled bacopa munnieri (lunuwila in lanka) full of benefits. Do cook it well and pls do not try as raw chutney or salads until you know it suita you. It is also dieuretic but reduces stress and helps in keeping the brain cool or whatever they say. A medicine that is prescribed to kids for autism to adults with parkinskns and alzheimers.

Tapioca ... something i like. I sub this as the carb in my food plate usually. It is a powerhouse and can keep you going just like potatoes. A food that keeps some families from starving. Yucca as it is called in the african Countries is a staple.

Loads of nutrients. Some believe it helps the joints and keeps the arthritis at bay.

If you are new to eating this, balance it with some ginger and hing in buttermilk or a dressing. I do eat it as a whole food. Have eaten it raw from the fields. Roasted using the dried plant after harvest. Treasure hunt like wheb you dig more deeper to find all those roots that get left inside when you pull out.

They clean and cut them into roundels and dry it to be used as a snack while doing heavy jobs.

They do taste wonderful as fried chips. But you can have the heathier version by baking after steaming. I have shared the same in a earlier post in 2014/15 not sure!!

Or you can mash it up and have it with some herbs and chilli flakes

    Now to answer @shodin

    1. I make aam panna at home. The one i get in the market the powder is more leaning to taste like jaljeera and added preservatives.. naaku and mind does not like that pheel of after taste of chem. sorry can't help it.

    2. You do check. This is from lulu . I am sure it would be the same arrangement. You have seen pandan Leaves, it should be very close. The karisalanganni, pandan, leaves and this are placed close.

    3. Yes using green chilli helps you have a good color. But i think i used regular chilli powder and turmeric aong with fresh tomato puree. Thanks for the compliment.

Did i answer all your ??
