peanuts and nuts the roasted ones off the shelf feel rancid and at times the quality leaves you feeling bad for the amount you pay.

It is so easy to do it at home a little planning and patience.

If you have a oven, place the nuts on a plate and bake at 180 degreess for 10 minutes for a even roasted peatnuts of 200gms. And yoi can do the same with cashews badams and pistas.. walnuts need a bit more care so as not to spoil the nut.. there is too much oil in it that is beneficial.

Almonds and walnuts are best eaten soaked overnight. If you get headaches after eating walnuts the culprit could be the oil. Check if eating soaked give you one.. (most cases it won't)

Now what happens when you are away from your oven or you don't have one.
Roast slowly in a thick kadai on a slow flame. No we don't need the sand for roasting. ( yeah we have used sand for roasting earlier. When we bring the sand from riverbed, wash it well and dry it and use it for these purposes)

Comes handy as a healthy snack. Add it to murmura/pori along with a handful of roasted chana dal and if you love it add onions and cucumber. Soaked boiled peanuts taste better but this is easy to assemble anytime

Crush and add to bhakris, salads.
