    hi,
we had the same problem. u cut the branches( using cutter) leaving 2-3 feet from groundlevel. we tried & it works.(chendu malli, addukku malli, ordinari malli). if u r in chennai cutting in this season will be good as it rains occasionally. but u can expect more only next season(next year) surely.

    Hi,
Sometime Jasmine takes a long time to bloom. Cut the branches during rainy season. Add some fertilizer and also 'rose mix' that you will get in any nursery.

    Cheers,
    Priya.

    thank you dear friends,
i have pruned it and removed the leaves. added sand while putting the plant in the pot. i keep adding fertilizer to this plant as well as others. i have roses blooming 365 days a year. but this jasmine plant is the death of me. i tried everything last year. but nothing seems to be helping my plant. maybe i should remove it and get a new one. :drowning

    Hi
I bought 4 jasmine plants last year out of which only 2 plants bloomed this season:-( I read in one of the magazines that any flowering plant needs a lot of sunlight and secondly applying 1 teaspoon of DAP fertiliser every fortnight( frankly I would apply only half teaspoon since DAP is a chemical and even a mild overdose will burn the roots) will produce more flowers. Try it next season. All thembest

    Hi Hansika

    1. How big is your plant? If it is too small it need to put up more branches to get more flowers. Jasmine flowers from new branches or shoots
    2. Jasmine plants needs at least 6 hours of direct sunlight.
    3. Give any fertilizer for flowers once in 15 days according to the directions.
    4. (This is for well established plant which has more branches.) If you are in India, in the second week of December, prune only 1/3 of the plant.
    5. For small plants just trim only the ends
    6. Jasmine should be watered only when the soil is dry to touch. Too much of water also prevents jasmine from flowering.
    Hope this helps.
    Lakshmi
