    Hi @madhu26 ,

Welcome to this thread. Its a good start that u have made up your mind for dieting. I feel the main challenge in weightloss is having the determination and intension to start. Once you start , you are over the biggest hurdle of procrastination (thinking will start next week, month , etc.)

From my research , its possible to loose weight by only dieting , but adding a few things like taking the stairs instead of lift, walking for a minimum of 15-20 mins(while going or coming back from work) or any home exercise like Leslie Sansone walk .. will help in increasing your metabolism and loose weight faster. Also when we do some form of exercise, we feel bad to break our diet thinking we worked hard so much for the activity, so we will think twice before reaching for the cookie jar :nono:.

    My update:
Finished dinner at 5 yesterday and went for my usual walk.
tried out the turmeric tea recipe by skinny recipes in youtube this morning at 7.
    I actually liked the taste.
Planning to do this for 5 days to see if there is any effect.
So fasting time was 14 hours yesterday.

:hello:A nice post on popular theme that would remain for eternity op. Idea to have mutual motivation is excellent as feedbacks exchanged throws better insights. I wish you and your followers here all the best to accomplish what you set out to achieve.

    2. I suggest one attempting on this kind of mission, should remain at large so that such unanticipated intrusions or and hindrance to will power and practice of IF are avoided.

3 I empathize with loss of one day in your program.

    4. I think if persons with weak body parameters should go for a check up before commencing the programme of IF especially the Diabetes ones. Here are some points for consideration:

choose your ingredients wisely, or else, your salad could even prove to be one of the unhealthiest meals of the day suggests Sushmita Sengupta Nutrion expert in her article.

When you feel full, you keep away from fat and greasy foods.

    • Protein is a crucial component for weight loss
    • Protein helps regulate hunger hormone ghrelin
    • Chana dal is a good source of plant-based protein
Salads have many health benefits, provided you make them right. It is very important to choose your ingredients wisely, or else, your salad could even prove to be one of the unhealthiest meals of the day.

Oodles of cheese, processed meat like bacon and sausages could derail your weight loss goals.

It is wise to choose salad ingredients that are full of fibre and protein. Protein helps induce a feeling of fullness.

When you feel full, you keep away from fat and greasy foods, which further help promote healthy weight management.

Fibre, much like protein, makes you feel satiated for a longer spell since it takes time to breakdown and digest.

Another popular nutritionist noted food blogger Manjula Jain for salad recommends mixing the goodness of fresh shredded cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, mint leaves, and yellow chana dal.
    • She claims Chana dal is an excellent source of plant-based protein, while all the veggies are teeming with good quality fibres.
    • The citrusy dressing is made with the goodness of olive oil, vinegar, lemon juice, ginger juice, salt and black pepper.
    • The recipe also uses a tinge of sugar in the dressing. You can choose to do away with that if you are off sugar.
The recipe posted on the YouTube Channel 'Manjula's Kitchen' is ideal for days you don't want to cook, and yet have something healthy and flavourful. When you are shredding cabbage, make sure you have washed it well.

Trust my contribution here is welcomed and useful to my sisters around the globe.

God please take care of thyroid secretes optimal hormone in all humans.

Hi I started day before. But not sure if I’m doing right.
Yeserday at 12pm had quinoa bisibelebath.
After few hrs had some mixed nuts
But evening 6pm had to go out for dinner so had garlic naan and paneer tikka masala. I know I did a mistake.
Will try eating something healthy :disappointed:

Weekends are always challenging... did eat some fried stuff but in the eating window. skipped walking on saturday , but managed to fit in 40 mins walk yesterday.

Fasting time was 14 hrs yesterday.

    Turmeric tea @7
2 Dosas +sambar +1 cup coffee for break fast
    tea + chips :BangHead:
    Rice+Sambar + rasam+ mochai sundal + curd for lunch
    Cucumber + peanut butter
    Palak soup @ 5 (planned)

I realize if I am planning to eat something for which I am craving , if I drink water immediately the craving subsides. So, planning to keep an eye on water consumption this week and ensure that I drink at least 2 lts.

:hello::hello:There are two points for consideration :
    1. Water - consumption - entire requirement of water is to be apportioned into several periods and never taken in one go. Half an hour Before and or after meal half an hour later drink water . This would not only prevents dilution of nutrients in the food to be digested but facilitates better absorption (of nutrients.)
    2. The gastric juices ( hydrochloride acid ) that is secreted in stomach ought to be used up in digesting the food that goes into stomach. If excessive secretion of digestive juices stays longer unused during the interval between eatings think what will happen to inner walls of stomach?
My mom used to say “Hurry, Worry & Curry” can cause ulcer.
    Take care.
    Best wishes.
    Regards.

I had a severe head ache for the last couple of days so didn't manage a proper diet. But back on the wagon now.

Did my weekly weight check. I have reduced by about 1.2 kg from my previous weight:

    Last week : 75.6 Kg
    Now: 74.4 Kg

    Today's plan:
BF: Soup + wheat bread toast (3)
Lunch: Rice + Radish sambar + Bhindi + Curd
Evening: Puffed rice salad with carrot , cucumber , ground nuts etc
