Answer to Question 1 - Technical challenge. I didn't know how to select only certain sentences by clicking reply or quote. Therefore, I have the habit of copying and pasting sentences and then click + sign to quote. Answer to Question 2 - The habits die hard but I will certainly try. I can blindly address everyone Madam or Smt without guessing and I am sure many will write like you "Just Rihana will do". Note: Is there a coaching post that helps "how to do?" in IL? Viswa
I click on Quote or Reply, and then delete parts of post that I don't want to quote. I don't know of an easier way to quote only a few lines of a post.
You can select the text to quote and on RIght hand bottom you will see +quote and click that to quote selection only
Yay! It worked. I am so happy now. Thank you @HazelPup. Can you also teach me how to quote a post in Instant Pot section and include it in index with a label of what is being prepared instead of giving the link of the post? I notice many do that but I never learned or asked this with anyone. I will be very grateful to you.
This has always been a question for me. Age/gender/location is usually unknown on the internet. What if an older poster inadvertently calls a younger poster Aunty? Sounds like a plan. I started this thread hoping to figure out the right protocol. This one works.
Even Smt is dangerous if someone is unmarried. May be I should try Ms. After Manhattan Madam became popular since Robert Mueller took her testimony, I am now afraid of addressing anyone as Madam too.
Yes, HazelPup, that was good to learn. Makes it much easier to quote part of post. This is how to quote a post with a label instead of the link of the post. 1. type the text, such as "Viswa's awesome post." 2. highlight the text. click on "link" icon which is 7th from left next to font family-icon. 3. in the box that pops up, paste the url (link of the post). Viswa's awesome post.
