    Hi,

Can we use a normal prestige pressure cooker in a flat top induction range ?
Or do we need to use any special vessels on induction ranges..

For induction cookers we need iron vessels.. some steel vessels too work nicely.. I dont remember exactly but i have one steel pressure cooker which we have used for induction cooking.. Many of my vessels dont work wit induction cooker.. all the iron vessels work well and few steel one.. alumnium will never work.

Srividya ,I think normal silver with sandwich pattern will not work in induction as I have tried my Hawkins ever silver sandwich pattern in induction and it did not work if it does not suits then the induction gives a beep sound in intervals .aluminium will not work.enamel that is litware ,iron ,some types of silver ,my ordinary vessels bought long back is all working .to test if u r silver vessel is working r not try with u r fridge magnet keep the magnet over the vessel if the vessel holds the magnet that eversilver vessels can b used
