Doing skipping using skipping rope is good or harmful

    I have just started excercising/skipping using skipping rope.One of friend is telling doing this excercise will reduce the weigth but increase the size of the chest/abdomen.Is it true.any alternative useful weight reducing tool ?suggestions please?

    it might for some people.Its a effective cardiovascular exercise which is simple method of losing weight.But one negative is that it affects the knee in the future if you are overweight.Just keep a watch.
