That is the typical tendency of maids...they wash vessels in a hurry so they can finish the work quickly, in the process lot of detergent is wasted..thats why I provide detergent bars to the maid for utensil washing, not gel..I use gel only when I clean oily kadais and tawas myself..
Vim gel maybe costly, but there are dishwash gels of many local and lesser known brands which are similar in composition but much cheaper than Vim..You can have a look at any local store or supermarket to compare prices..For many brands they give buy 1 get 1 free offers also..
Otherwise buy larger quantity of dish wash liquid in big bottle like 900 ml qhich may work out cheaper and use that to refill the liquid in the smaller dishwash liquid bottle and dilute it with equal quantity of water to last longer..
Alternatively you can buy detergent bars for utensil washing..these are cheap like 10 or 15 Rs for 150 g or 200 g of detergent and you will get some offers when you buy 3-4 detergent soaps together..

Yes Patanjali dishwash soaps are cheap, like 10 Rs or so for 175 g bar...but I noticed that it kind of dissolves in water easily and becomes soft as lot of water would be used in washing utensils..would suggest you to keep the Patanjali soap bar in a bowl so that the dissolved soap water will be collected in it and won't be wasted..and if you keep the dishwash soap in tilted position it will dry easily.

There is 1 brand 'pitambar' and few local brands of dishwash soap which are quite cheap and available in most grocery stores..Some people use Sabena powder to wash utensils, but I don't like using it..
