Yoga Practice

    I am planning to do Yoga every other day. I have joined a Yoga studio and planning to go for at least the next three months.
    Starting this thread for motivation. It will be great if anyone joins.

    Hi @HappyBunny
    I am too much into yoga. I do yoga five days a week for an hour followed by pranayam. I am planning to do a teachers training course and become a yoga teacher soon. Yoga is a fantastic fitness tool . Keep going.

    You can start with some warm up and sun salutations. But it is advisable to perform yoga under the guidance of an instructor. Yoga classes are fun too. Do give it a try.

    Can we do yoga during menses?? Which exercises should be avoided during that time?

    Yes Sis. You can do but do some mild once. That's what the instructor suggested.

    Sun salutation for the beginner's would be little tough in the first week but you can start with one or two sets and gradually increase the count. As fourthaugst sis, said do warm up exercise. Below are few easy asanas.

    kati chakrasana
    Camel pose
    gomukhasana
    tadasan
    trikonasana
    Parvathasan.
