    @justanothergirl
I meant to commend your leadership in forming the hiking group.
10 miles! thats about 20K steps minimum. Wonderful! Yes... any exercise is good, and if you enjoy it even better.

    Sunday
    Apart from cooking
    • Trimmed vegetables.
    • Peeled onions
    • Spread out coriander leaves to air dry and rollec in paper towel.
    • Cleaned the fridge veggie bins
Did something related to clothes but forgot what exactly. I know I did not spend much time on this.
Typed up music notes for my students.
Between 4-5 pm had my students for vocal music.
    • 5 pm had coffee and watched some sports with hubby.
Kneaded chappati dough and left it to rise.
    • 6-7 pm practised my veena and violin.
    • 7 pm made palak paneer. Used the already made g-g paste, and a couple of peeled onions. Used fresh spinach from Costco .
Placed remaining spinach in ziploc bags, rolled them tight shut to remove air, and placed them in the freezer.
    • Made the chapathis, had dinner.
    End of day
There were many chores I did not complete.
News about JJs cardiac arrest was disturbing and premonition grew. Restlessnes abounded and could not concentrate much.

Read early morning that Chennai was under
    Security blanket. Knew why.
Managed my am cooking, went to work.
    Work at office was heavy.
At 11 am received news that a family friend in Chennai had passed on.
    Two hours later Ms.JJs news.
Evening was spent learning more about the circumstances about the family friend's demise and Ms. JJ.
Did nothing else. Ate something and went to bed.

This morning was better. Will write about it later.

Mon eve was pretty good. DH came home early and I was delayed more than usual.
There are unexpected benefits of having menu up on the fridge door I realized. DH saw it was chow chow kootu for dinner so he had peeled and chopped them already and put dal in IP before he sat with DS for some school work. I put the veggies in the microwave and ground the coconut masala for kootu. By the time this was done IP was ready to be opened. Got dal out ..made kootu with 3/4 and used other 1/4 for making lemon rasam. Put for rice and sat down with younger one for his test today. Served dinner ..cleaned up and continued the test prep with the kid . DH and DS were still pretty focused on what they were doing .
I wrapped up kitchen ..had some work-related things I needed to take care of .
I got in cooking /cleaning but had to leave exercise out. Hopefully today is better.

I guess we pretty much have mastered cooking.
    Next move Calendar.
I have been using the calendar for two purposes.
    1. Forecast
As mentioned earlier, I mark upcoming festivals, birthdays, wedding days (have set recurrence for bdays and wedding days through 2040 :))at the beginning of the year and as they occur. Doctor and dentist appointments, social gettogethers, etc.

    2. Look back
As I cleaned the pantry, the range hood; chores that are not done everday, or weekly, I noted them in the calendar.
This way I know, when I last cleaned the pantry, or last cleaned the hood. Depending on how quickly my pantry turns messy, and the tolerable grease level the range filters accumulate, i can plug in a time and date for the next cleanup.
Eventually, you will know that every third friday you need to check your pantry, every last day of the month is range day, and so on.

Sad to learn about Mr. Cho Ramaswamy passing away. He was one person I admired for his convictions, the courage to speak his mind, and his great sense of humor.

    Wednesday was like this
6am- woke up, very sleepy, didn't make the promised sandwich for hubby, instead boiled milk for cornflakes. Went back to sleep again:frown::smash2::smash2:
10am- woke up,m ade the bed, boiled milk for me, realised milk was spoiled( had to go without morning coffee):shakehead::shakehead:
    11am- made toast for breakfast
Had a quick look at fridge. Did a fast clean. Took out some baby corn lying since long.
Chopped it with some capsicums and made sabji
Meanwhile made rice on another burner.
Made a fast planner for the day.
12 PM-4pm had lunch, watched TV, cleaned a load of vessels, arranged old vessels in racks, swept the house, had lunch, washed bathroom commode, relaxed for sometime
4-6pm had a warm bath, moisturised myself liberally, combed my hair ( now, that's a big task, as my hair is frizzy and unmanageable) cut nails, went out and got some fresh milk and veggies. Made coffee for myself.
6-8pm chopped onions, tomatoes, capsicums and paneer for paneer jalfrezi. Meanwhile rearranged all washed vessels. Cleaned mixi. Heated some ready made wheat parathas on tawa. Hubby came, we had dinner.
8-9 pm washed vessels, cleaned stove, kitchen top, sink, threw trash away. Made some decoction for tomorrow
9-10 pm- phone calls, peeled a couple of pomegranates and stored the pearls in a box in the fridge. Took my meds. now off to bed.

    Things accomplished-
    1. Sweeping entire house ( doing it on every alternate day)
    2. All vessels washed and dry
    3. Kitchen counter clean and fresh for tomorrow
    4. personal grooming
    5. Relationships - phone call

Things I need to work out on
    1. Walk/ exercise
    2. be more organised and make a master planner for myself by the months end.
