    YOUR VALUED OPINION IS SOLICITED

This is a very intriguing situation. A young man, Ramesh, is sentenced to death for the murder of his fiancée.

He befriends a young boy, Mahesh, in the jail who is nearing his jail term for theft.

There is a possibility that the murdered girl's father may give his consent for pardon in exchange of Blood Money.

Mahesh, takes upon himself to ensure that the girl's father gives his consent. Ramesh requests him to meet his sister.

He meets Ramesh's sister, a widow with a baby. She tells him that all her earlier efforts have ended into insults and rebuke. She, however, agrees to make another attempt. Both go to the victim's parents.

The father of the girl murdered, had remarried after the death of his first wife. He has a young daughter from his second wife but she is paralytic and there is a good chance that she may be cured if treated immediately but the treatment is quite expansive. His wife comes to know that her husband can ask for blood money and give his consent.

Ramesh will be saved from death and the girl will be treated with the blood money. The father does not budge but eventually agrees for the sake of his paralytic daughter. The message is conveyed to the sister of the accused, Ramesh.

Meanwhile, this young boy, Mahesh, and his friend Ramesh's sister develop a soft corner for each other and may get married if all goes well. The problem is she cannot raise the blood money and cannot accept this young man's help because he can raise the money by stealing only.

Now the paralytic girls' mother sees a ray of hope and convinces her husband. The offer is they will forego the blood money if Ramesh marries their daughter.

The accused Ramesh’s sister does not like it but sees no other way also. Mahesh cannot do it because he loves her. At the same time, he wants to set his friend free and thereby help his sister. This way he can solve the problem of the paralytic girl and her parents.

Should he marry the paralytic girl and sacrifice his whole life?

    or

Simply run away from the scene?

Majority opinion will be conveyed to Mahesh. However, final decision will be his own.

    Waiting!!!
