    Hi,

If either of you are looking for a store bought Thai yellow curry sauce anytime, check out "Trader Joe's" brand. I've tried both their yellow curry as well as red and it was simply delicious. But I always added some extra coconut milk, though the tips in the label says no need of adding coconut milk.

    Regards,
    Malathy

    Malathy,

Is TJ's brand sauce vegetarian? The reason I'm asking is, usually fish sauce or dried shrimp is added in tradition thai sauces. Is there any particular brand?

    Uma,

Sauces I mentioned above were TJ's own brand. I just looked up the ingredients and it did not say any egg whites or fish or fish oil added to it. So I am presuming it is vegetarian!!

Though it did say made in an equipment shared with Eggs, Fish and Shellfish.

    Regards,
    Malathy

Yellow and red curry are staples in our house. I use the paste 'Taste of Asia' brand which claims it to be vegetarian. I also add bamboo shoots, water chestnuts and baby corn and pineapples, at times. It comes out simply delicious and quite a lot too. But still we finish it off in one sitting.. :thumbsup
