It is really a sad news, She fought with so many diseases and was always in good spirit and had positive attitude.
Born on June 29, 1947, Anuradha was a recipient of various awards including 'Rajiv Gandhi Award'.

She had penned over 1,300 novels and 1,230 short stories.

Some of her stories---'Sirai', 'Kootupuzhukkal', 'Malarin Payanam' and 'Oru Veedu Iru Vaasal'-- were also made into films. Her Telugu novel 'Oka Baarya Katha' bagged five awards.

    Her husband pre-deceased her.

She is survived by two daughters.May her soul rest in peace.

Anuradha Ramanan was a writer with revolutionary thinking even at times when those with feminist ideas were thought of as enemies to the Indian culture.

She had always written about women's rights and empowerment.

She also lived up the way she wanted women to be in society.

It's a great loss for the society to have lost such a great person.

May her soul rest in peace.

I have visited her and she has visited me too several times when we used to live Chennai. She was not only a great writer- she was a great artist too. I have seen her beautiful Tanjore paintings and pencil sketches. She was really very talented.
