I couldn't help the urge to translate the share of Thyagarajan, " சத்திய வார்த்தை". I am sure it will be appreciated well by Thyagarajan as well as all the members . I am aware that it is 'senior' now but stuck to "old man'...I am old...so dont mean to offend....:-D. This happened inThiruvananthapuram. An old man with an imposing posture was sitting on a bench in the beach, reading a book. It was the Bhagavad Gita. Then, an young man came and sat down near the old man. Being an atheist , looked at that old man & he teased that in a scientific world only fools would read Bhagavad Gita, an old almanac which does'nt suit the present/ prevailing times... The conversation went thus... Young man: If you had studied science by the time you read this, you would have become world famous today ..."! Old man: Brother, what have you read? Young man: I studied in Kolkata and became a science graduate. I am currently enrolled in a research course at the Indian Space Research Organization. Instead of wasting time like this you can be more productive doing academic study & research. The old man smiled, woke up without answering. Four guards came running from somewhere and stood around him. An expensive car rolled over and he stopped near the old man. The shocked young man was curious ..and asked: Sir who are you? Smiling, the old man introduced himself.. "I am Vikram Sarabhai, and I head the Indian Space Research Organization." At that time 13 space research stations were operating under his leadership. Now the trembling young man promptly fell at the feet of Vikram Sarabhai. Sarabhai said with a smile ... "Brother. Remember that there is always a creator behind every creation. Whether it is the Mahabharata period or the age of science like now, do not forget the great power of God. Today atheists can gloat about the age of science. But the history will tell that the science created till now is the science of believers. God is an infinite truth. " Words of wisdom & truth of Vikram Sarabhai, who lived and died gracefully in Truth,. who also explained to that young man that our degree or position does not determine our qualifications.
