Women of Today!

Dear Lakshmi,
Welcome to this thread! Hats off to you for rearranging your priorities so as to share your love with your kid. It is not easy to walk out of a high flying career for the sake of setting up a family.I think basically, women always have this motherly instinct and would love taking care of family and home.But the problems that women faced a generation or two ago has led to all this women s' lib movement etc. Women sure need to be educated so that when necessity arises they are able to stand on their own feet and are not left to the mercy of society. And she can always seek a job when the kids are a little grown up and feel secure. Otherwise the joint family system is the best for working mothers where the children are left in the care of doting grandparents along with a little bit of help from maid etc.
