hey guys, pls share ur views on this...... Men Are Just Happier People-- What do you expect from such simple creatures? Your last name stays put. The garage is all yours. Wedding plans take care of themselves. Chocolate is just another snack. You can be President. You can never be pregnant. You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park. You can wear NO shirt to a water park. Car mechanics tell you the truth.. The world is your urinal. You never have to drive to another gas station restroom because this one is just too icky. You don't have to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt. Same work, more pay. Wrinkles add character. Wedding dress $5000. Tux rental-$100. People never stare at your chest when you're talking to them. The occasional well-rendered belch is practically expected. New shoes don't cut, blister, or mangle your feet. One mood all the time. Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat. You know stuff about tanks. A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase. You can open all your own jars. You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness. If someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still be your friend. Your underwear is $8.95 for a three-pack. Three pairs of shoes are more than enough. You almost never have strap problems in public. You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes. Everything on your face stays its original color. The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades. You only have to shave your face and neck. You can play with toys all your life. Your belly usually hides your big hips. One wallet and one pair of shoes -- one color for all seasons. You can wear shorts no matter how your legs look. You can "do" your nails with a pocket knife. You have freedom of choice concerning growing a mustache. You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on December 24 in 25 minutes. No wonder men are happier. :thankyou2: Rajjo.
Dear Rajjo, Oooooooooops.... You have a big list ......:clap I should be a happyman........For all these reasons..:goodidea: Nice analysis... Veda
Hi Rajjo, Agree to the point that most of the men can identify themselves. Few with whom I am associated are not that types (may be I get closer to those guys who pay special attention to their behaviour and atttire). The men whom I know buy more than 3 branded shirts (on an average) every month with matching trousers, tie, etc... They have leather shoes of so many shades , sports shoes, mojdis, bathroom wear, home wears, beach wears. Hey they do not come from any aristocratic family. They love to be trendy and I would like to say they give a complex to us..... A couple of them change the frame of their spectacles too every year to go with the trend, did I miss out on the sun glasses, Perfumes, deos, car decoratives etc.. Even the bikers change their seat covers, head gears ... Most of the men whom I know are all well dressed and have great taste... And did I forget to say, they do not use the world as their urinals... !!! I had asked one of my friend arrre why are you hanging around, you can relieve yourself anywhere, the problem is with we girls here. He snarled, "Are you mad?? There is something called decency yaar".... Few of them have started shaving their chest too....... Now a days religiously they shave their underarms, I think Sunny Deol had spoilt them in between. Where legs are concerned, we have not identified the most beautiful legs, the moment we give them a compliment as such, they may shave their legs too. The parlour that I visit is for both men and women, I am having my hair cut on one chair, a guy is busy with his bleaching and facial on the other. There is another waiting to colour his hair (or rather bleach oh no!!! streak I think), whie the third is checking if his eyebrows are threaded properly, the fourth has come for a massage..... I am happy to know that they have changed and have started inviting depressions in their life............ :wave
Hi Rajjo, Few of the things you pointed out may be correct, but as far as "the dressing & other accessories" are concerned, i agree with malspie. i have been working in the same company for a long time & i knew few guys who are very much concerned about their looks. For instance, the guy who sits next to me is really hell built on having a "brand name" for anything he uses. He nearly does shopping every weekend (usually "shopping" is a girls privilege so far). He is the one who prepares much inadvance what to wear, etc.. whenever a party is announced within our team( even though those parties are attended by only our team members) And my hubby tells that he has a friend in college who never comes out without applying "Fair & Lovely". So times are changing and so are men & their habits. Sravanthi
Mals, Once again you have proved you are a HR person. I was yes I was about to write most of the points that you have written. My husband himself is an example who gets matching branded shirts, trousers. Shoes for different occasions etc etc etc. And yes for most of the other things you have quoted. Especially not using the world as urinals. I too have the same expreience from my friends and collegues when I have told them that if they want I will close my eyes and nostrils and move away. But not just snarl, they have taken me for a task of hearing big big lectures about personal and general hygiene, decency, manners..... Yes, I was not just shocked but started feeling proud, that I am living in a very decent generation. But yes there are quite a few who treat the world as urinals. But they are really very few.
Dear Rajjo, Your listings for men being happy shows that men are simple and they don't need to attract any one's attention. Whereas most of ladies' problems come from the fact they dress, put make-up etc. to attract men. What an irony!.Invariably, a lady wearing black blouse will wear white bra and if she wears white blouse, a black bra, why? Regards, TDU
hello TDU, idhellam too much. romba boasting. i tell you ..... you better find out from the lady herself who wears it. tongue:tongue regards, Vanaja
hey Mals, I agree with wht u say abt the recent trend with the guys wht to say even my hubby is fond of brands and stuff but all these happen only with the corporate guys in general but there r a vast ocean of men who follow wht i have said in my post.... wht u say... regds Rajjo.
