Why do we need april fool's day when we are being made fools of everyday

Though the British had introduced the 'April fool's day' it is still continuing though people are getting fooled each and everyday.

The negative view describes April Fools' hoaxes as "creepy and manipulative", "rude", and "a little bit nasty", as well as based on schadenfreude and deceit.[22] When genuine news is published on April Fools' Day, it is occasionally misinterpreted as a joke—for example, when Google, known to play elaborate April Fools' Day hoaxes, announced the launch of Gmailwith 1-gigabyte inboxes in 2004, an era when competing webmail services offered 4 MB or less, many dismissed it as a joke outright.[26][27] On the other hand, sometimes stories intended as jokes are taken seriously. Either way, there can be adverse effects, such as confusion,[28] misinformation, waste of resources (especially when the hoax concerns people in danger), and even legal or commercial consequences.[29][30]

Perhaps this was another trait by Google to fool people with a genuine offer.

Excellent thoughts presented so nicely and congratulations on getting it published in New Indian Express. We have Mother's Day, Father's Day, Children's Day, Teacher's Day, etc. and perhaps the world wanted to have one day dedicated to all humanity and hence decided to have "Fool's Day".

Your list of ways we get fooled everyday is so comprehensive yet there are many more including auto meters, milk pockets, flowers sold in the beach (I believe they are brought from dead bodies), mixing something in items sold in retail shops, quality of food in restaurants, petrol meters in the pumps, water bottles, etc. But one can write only so much in an article. But no one can be as successful in the business as Vijay Mallya. I am not sure whether politicians need to learn from him or he learned it from the politicians to be so successful.
