I made Kale (a type of spinach). DH and DS gave 5 stars.

DH said, "WOW! Thanks for the wonderful dish"

DS interrupted, "Appa don't thank her. Thank yourself - you are the one who bought the Kale"

I came to my rescue. (who else would come?! :rant)
"Naan thaaneda senjaen? (But.. But I was the one who cooked it)" :spin

DS: "But if Appa hadn't gotten the spinach, you wouldn't be able to cook it!"

He further added, "He bought the Kale. Brought it home, Gave it to you!
You just cooked it! Now who should thank whom?! You do the Math!
    " :hide:

True: you got a smart boy there so just take what he dishes. LOL

In my house its my first kid aka DH.

If anyone compliments my cooking he will say "Dont thank her, thank me. I bought the tomatoes or chopped the onions. Thats why it tastes good"

As Jaya would say "Aiyo Ramakrishna"
