    Hi,

First of all my wishes for your career and studies.

Java and C are evergreen subjects..having knowledge in them are always a plus wherever you are and whatever you are..No doubt..I had less interest in those subjects so i took PHP as my specialization.

    I am working in PHP-MySQL since 2004.

PHP is an opensource and it has good appreciation and reach now-a-days.

It is very easy to learn and there are too many sources to guide you. Consult your friends and decide. All the best :cheers

I agree with Chindhuja, Java and C (rather C++ now-a-days) can always give you lets of career options. I am not quite familiar with PHP so :hide:

But, .NET cal also be learnt in 3 months and I have quite some friends who work on .NET (Infy and IBM) so I believe thats something that you can think about

    Best of luck!

.NET is somewhat similar to PHP..

To be more precise..ASP and PHP are the same.

    Both are web based languages

    ASP is Microsoft Product

    PHP is an opensource

Since .NET is built based on ASP and VB...all are in a way inter-related

In established companies like Infy,Patni,HCL etc M.Soft products are more encouraged..so more the opportunity..

But now-a-days open-source is finding a strong a base for itself..

Learning PHP is sure not a waste of time..
