Re: "Chitvish is coming to Sunny Singapore...Dear SingILites!"

    Hi Again Vijee,

Definitely, I will help you my level best for this meet up:bowdown. Let us all do it together & make that day a special event not only for Chitra madam but also for each & every one of us over here.

Since it is Sunday & many of us wanted to avoid Little India.

Keeping Vegetarian restaurants in my mind -I would like to suggest few Indian vegetarian eat outs outside Little <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" /><st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">India</st1:place></st1:country-region>. These are my choices- other I'lites pls. pour in your choices also.

    1. Raj Prime Vegetarian Restaurant (Biopolis)

    Address:
    20 Biopolis Way
    #01-03 Centros - Biopolis

    Tel: 6478 9495

I am sure you (& many of us over here) do have gone to this place but I don’t know whether they have buffet- for lunch.

    Few Reviews about this Restaurant.

This is a hidden gem within Biopolis in Buona Vista. The ambience is lovely and it never gets crowded.

“one of the few good places for vegetarian indian places in the west. Its serves both south and north indian food i.e serves dosai as well as naans and vegetable curries. It menu is quite comprehensive with almost 35 varieties of dosai. It has a good amount of curry dishes and naans as well. Must try would be the Stuffed Kulcha - naan like bread stuffed with potatoes. Goes great with palak paneer. Additionally, this place is quiet and is open on weekends as well which makes it a good place for a family outing” .

“The only drawback of this place is that the service can be tardy at times”.

Other option- If the crowd is around 20-25. Raj restaurant in Little India has a very small hall ( upstairs)
Rent – around $100/- & we can have lunch buffet. ($15 - $20 per head)

    2. Annalakshmi Janatha Restaurant (Chinatown Point)

    Address:
    133 New Bridge Road
    #B1-02 Chinatown Point

    <st1:placeName w:st="on">Tel</st1:placeName>: 6339 9993

    Few Reviews about this restaurant-

“The place is pretty accessible from <st1:place w:st="on">Chinatown</st1:place> mrt station. The decoration is quite classy, with a good mix of sculptures and paintings.
This place is really good for pple who are not into crowds and definitely not for service.
The servers are volunteers, so it doesn't do to expect them to attend to you all the time. Do be appreciative of these volunteers.

The food is tasty and definitely as authentic as it can get. For a vegetarian restaurant, the food still tickles…”

And pay as you please concept. Lunch –Buffet is usually available.

    3, Bombay Cafe Xpress (Suntec)

    Address:
    3 Temasek Boulevard
    #B1-020 Suntec City Mall

    Few Reviews about this restaurant-

They serve very authentic Indian food at really affordable prices….. Their ambience is a little cheesy with pink colour and Bollywood music and posters pasted on the walls”.

    Lunch Buffet (Great Value)

    4. Bombay Cafe (Tanjong Katong)

    Address:
    <st1:Street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">332/334 Tanjong Katong Road

    Tel: 6345 0070</st1:address></st1:Street>

    5. Bombay Woodlands Restaurant

    Address:
    19 Tanglin Road
    #B1-12 Tanglin Shopping Centre

    Tel: 6836 6961

    Few Reviews about this restaurant-

This is a quiet little place at the basement of Tanglin Shopping Centre
The food is average but they have lunch buffet – The atmosphere is quiet & peaceful.

Meeting cyber friends is a unique experience, so let us celebrate it.

    Hi again Sumitra,

You're really creating a wave here...I am happy to see your enthusiasm & I am sure you know more about eat outs/ dinning, party halls etc. Please suggest few places that are more interesting

By the way, are you talking about balavihar class at Lakshmishree's residence? I know her & she is also an IL member. I am not sending my children be'cos they are already loaded with many enrichment classes.

Well, when is Kritin's B'day? I am also looking forward for that party;-)
