Where can we get condensed milk in US?

    It took total microwave time of 25 mins and cooling 5mins.I thought because I made them with evaporated milk (it is a bit watery) so I had to microwave it for more time. but with condensed milk I guess you would be done with in 15mins

    You can get Carnation Evaporated milk or condensed milk in almost any supermarket. Walmart carries that too. You can get the Evaporated milk skim or full. I use the full milk for payasam and other sweets. Condensed milk is also very good for sweets. Many supermarkets have their own brand. I usually buy the Carnation.

    hi srividya,

    where did u buy the milk powder for this. i tried and found one in walmart but it had eggs. am looking for something which doesn't have eggs. r they very pricy. i found one in some other store around 10$ is it the normal price........ thanx in advance.

    Sorry maa I dont remember the brand name but I bought skim milk powder with low fat...it had kind of 3 sachets in the big box. I bought it for some 5$ i guess. it didnt have any eggs listed in the contents of the milk powder.I bought the small packet..there is a bigger one which was 8 or 9$

    From one condensed milk can i.e 12oz one..I got around 30 pedas

    i tried the pedas it came out very well. it was for a party so everybody was asking if it was a shop bought one. i made more quantity for 4 tins of condensed milk. i bought the milk powder from the indian stores the milk mava powder in the frozen section. thanx for the recipe
